MI Structure

1. Parts of MI and accessories

The central tool for creating and administrating the MI installation on your PC is MISetup. The program must be downloaded as exe file (approx. 150kB) from the download page.

The trial version of MI contains of the main program MI.exe only.

The time of usage is not limited, but it has reduced functions. MITrial analyses the first 800 frames of a MPEG file only. All statistics are related on these 800 frames. MITrial doesn't show the selected frame as "picture" and can't play videos.

MI full version shows the selected frame as still picture in panel frames and can play the video.

If the user has selected the system's default DirectShow – filter set the audio will be played too.

To the scope of supply of the full version belongs the MIPlayer. It serves the configuration of filter sets for MI and offers with the filter manager extensive possibilities for the administration and documentation of the DirectShow - filters existing on a PC.

MI is written in PureBasic, a programming language developed in France, which creates very small and very fast executables. Extensive run time libraries are not necessary in PureBasic, so the distribution of the full version has a size of about 220 KBytes only and therefore can be distributed problem-free by email.

2. User support :

MI Help:
The help for the user of MI is functionally merged into the program. As long as in MI’s program directory  no help files are found, the help is called directly from the homepage.
As soon as the help texts are revised to version 2.0, we will offer them on our download page for local installation. Internet access will then not longer be needed. We ask you for some patience, but we are sure that the operation of the MI is so self-explaining and simple enough that one can get along temporarily with the explanations in the section MI features.

MIContact:
The possibilities for contacting the MI team are shown on the page Contact. We suggest using the MIForum because the most questions are already answered.  Your contributions can be helpful for other users and are therefore particularly welcome.
