Using MI Menus

The following text describes the full version of MI. Parts of the text, marked with * are not or not fully existing in the trial version. The trial version reads only the first 800 frames of a MPEG video on principle. All statistical results are based on these 800 frames in the trial version.

After launching MI you will see the empty panel General. With the menu Open / Open video you can select a video file (MPEG1&2, VOB M2V) and the reading in starts.

After the reading in finished all fields in panel general will be filled with the general data of the selected video and you can start with analyzing the results. During reading in you can switch to the other panels but the data will be not complete.

In menu Open you can also select MI index files (.MIX) or select a video out of the list of previous opened files.

With DShow filtersets * you select a filter set with which MI can show the decoded picture of selected frames or can play the video. With filter set none you can force MI to not use DirectShow.

Menu Export supports saving of MI index files, the export of several selectable data to text files and extracting a Snippet of the video file.
Snippets are short sequences of the video with a size of 1.5 to 3 MB which can be uploaded or send to others by email for analyzing Snippets can also be reloaded and analyzed by MI.

With menu Mode you can switch between the several panels and you can launch the MIPlayer or MISetup.

Menu Help supports the access to homepage of MI and with Help the access to the English help texts.

As long as the installed isn't a full version, the menu item Enter license key is available for upgrading MI to a full version if a valid license key is stored in the clipboard.
